Genealogy of Genesis 5: Adam, Seth, Enosh,
Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah. These men were given
prophetic names. God put this together incredibly. Adam = Man,
Seth = Appointed,
Enosh =Mortal,
Cainan = Sorrow,
Mahalalel = the Blessed
God,
Jared = shall come down,
Enoch = teaching,
Methuselah = his
death shall bring,
Lamech = despairing,
Noah = comfort or rest.
"Man, appointed
Mortal Sorrow, but the Blessed God shall come down teaching His death shall
bring the despairing comfort and rest."
And if
you take the first Hebrew letters of these names, you get three Hebrew words
which mean: I will forgive my enemies,
showing compassion.
How amazing is that!!!
