Tell again the matchless story
Of His never-ceasing mercy
Sing of His majestic glory,
Jesus reigns supreme.
Think of all His goodness to you
Remember all His loving care
Let His Holy Spirit fill you
Jesus reigns supreme.
Lord, You alone are full of grace
You are the truth that sets us free
Please help us run the marked out race
Jesus reigns supreme.

Look to Christ
Daily Looking Upward to Christ
What will you get by looking upward to Jesus? Comfort and strength in all the daily battle of life. What thought more cheering than the thought that Jesus is ever looking at you and watching over you! What idea more strengthening than the idea that you are never alone, never forgotten, never neglected, never without a Friend who is “able to save to the uttermost all them who come unto God by Him!” (Heb. 7:25). This daily upward look at Jesus is a most important point. The life of Christ for His people in heaven is only second in importance to His death for them on the cross. The blood, the sacrifice, the atonement, the satisfaction for sin can never be too much prized or thought of. But the session in heaven, the priestly intercession, the daily advocacy of Jesus ought not to be forgotten. I sadly fear they are not so much considered in this day as they ought to be.

Morecambe Outreach and a few verses
Well, this afternoon for 1 hour (and a bit!) 6 people gathered in the Arndale Centre to sing, and give out tracts. We sang for nearly an hour (so I'm now rather croaky! it didn't help that I've had a cough for the last 3 days- I kept having to pause for a drink!) about 200 tracts were given out, which I thought was quite a lot! It was good to see some people taking time to sit and read them, and it certainly made a few people think. (Of course, we had a few kids having a laugh at us, but we weren't bothered!) So, we had a good time!
I read these the other day, and they jumped out at me:
"Yes, the Almighty will be your gold[c]
And your precious silver;
26 For then you will have your delight in the Almighty,
And lift up your face to God.
27 You will make your prayer to Him,
He will hear you,
And you will pay your vows.
28 You will also declare a thing,
And it will be established for you;
So light will shine on your ways." Job 22:25-28

and
"And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and have known all things."
1 John 2:20.
How important it is that we realize that the Almighty is the One in whom we should delight.
It is also really good to know that the Holy Spirit will teach us when we are available for Him to do so.

Never Be Tired of Speaking of Christ
Do you ever try to do good to others? If you do, remember to tell them about Christ. Tell the young, tell the poor, tell the aged, tell the ignorant, tell the sick, tell the dying – tell them all about Christ. Tell them of His power, and tell them of His love; tell them of His doings, and tell them of His feelings; tell them what He has done for the chief of sinners; tell them what He is willing to do until the last day of time; tell it to them over and over again. Never be tired of speaking of Christ. Say to them broadly and fully, freely and unconditionally, unreservedly and undoubtingly, ‘Come unto Christ, as the penitent thief did; come unto Christ, and you shall be saved.’

Gracious Spirit and a Spurgeon link
Another poem-song.
Gracious Spirit, dwell with me!
I myself would gracious be;
And with words that help and heal
Would Thy life in mine reveal;
And with actions bold and meek
Would for Christ my Savior speak.
I myself would gracious be;
And with words that help and heal
Would Thy life in mine reveal;
And with actions bold and meek
Would for Christ my Savior speak.
Truthful Spirit, dwell with me!
I myself would truthful be;
And with wisdom kind and clear
Let Thy life in mine appear;
And with actions brotherly
Speak my Lord’s sincerity.
I myself would truthful be;
And with wisdom kind and clear
Let Thy life in mine appear;
And with actions brotherly
Speak my Lord’s sincerity.
Tender Spirit, dwell with me!
I myself would tender be;
Shut my heart up like a flower
In temptation’s darksome hour,
Open it when shines the sun,
And his love by fragrance own.
I myself would tender be;
Shut my heart up like a flower
In temptation’s darksome hour,
Open it when shines the sun,
And his love by fragrance own.
Mighty Spirit, dwell with me!
I myself would mighty be;
Mighty so as to prevail,
Where unaided man must fail;
Ever, by a mighty hope,
Pressing on and bearing up.
I myself would mighty be;
Mighty so as to prevail,
Where unaided man must fail;
Ever, by a mighty hope,
Pressing on and bearing up.
Holy Spirit, dwell with me!
I myself would holy be; Separate from sin, I would
Choose and cherish all things good,
And whatever I can be
Give to Him Who gave me Thee!
I myself would holy be; Separate from sin, I would
Choose and cherish all things good,
And whatever I can be
Give to Him Who gave me Thee!

Thou vision of undying loveliness
I don't know why I haven't posted this one before because its really lovely!
Thou vision of undying loveliness
Once glimpsed cannot by any be outshone
No fragrant morning noon or dappled ev'ning
Compare in any facet with the Son
Beloved Son cherished of the Father
Redeemed Thine own creation with Thy blood
Restoring man belov'd of God the Father
Reviled and placed upon a cross of wood
Now have I seen Thee in the sanctu'ry
O God most high more dear than any one
Resplendent Lord surpassing thought or concept
Receive the sacrifice of Thine own Son
Within these walls of time we live and move
Receding limits as we gaze on Thee
For through the flesh of our imperfect being
There breaketh knowledge of Eternity
So shall I praise Thee love Thee and adore
Till life is through and limits lose their hold
And standing there at last alone before Thee
My praises shall for ever more unfold
Thou vision of undying loveliness
Once glimpsed cannot by any be outshone
No fragrant morning noon or dappled ev'ning
Compare in any facet with the Son
Beloved Son cherished of the Father
Redeemed Thine own creation with Thy blood
Restoring man belov'd of God the Father
Reviled and placed upon a cross of wood
Now have I seen Thee in the sanctu'ry
O God most high more dear than any one

For through the flesh of our imperfect being

So shall I praise Thee love Thee and adore
Till life is through and limits lose their hold
And standing there at last alone before Thee
My praises shall for ever more unfold

Helen Shapiro and a poem
Well, last night, Dad took some friends and I to Southport Emmanuel Church to hear Helen Shapiro. It was a really great night! We enjoyed it so much and were blessed.
Here's a poem to enjoy:
Two little lines I heard one day,Traveling along life's busy way;
Bringing conviction to my heart, And from my mind would not depart;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
Only one life, yes only one, Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
Then, in 'that day' my Lord to meet, And stand before His Judgement seat;
Only one life,'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
Only one life, the still small voice, Gently pleads for a better choice
Bidding me selfish aims to leave, And to God's holy will to cleave;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
Only one life, a few brief years, Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;
Each with its clays I must fulfill, living for self or in His will;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
When this bright world would tempt me sore, When Satan would a victory score;
When self would seek to have its way, Then help me Lord with joy to say;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
Give me Father, a purpose deep, In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep;
Faithful and true what e'er the strife, Pleasing Thee in my daily life;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
Oh let my love with fervor burn, And from the world now let me turn;
Living for Thee, and Thee alone, Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne;
Only one life, "twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
Only one life, yes only one, Now let me say,"Thy will be done";
And when at last I'll hear the call, I know I'll say "twas worth it all";
Only one life,'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
