Conjunction, 24th March's Traveling toward sunrise devotional + day out with Gran

The conjunction of the moon, Jupiter and Venus has been quite spectacular (of course it would be as God designed it!!!) so I thought I'd add my very inadequate photo to the mix! It doesn't nearly do it justice!

March 24th's Traveling toward Sunrise:
"...After He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, (He) sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting..." Hebrews 10:12,13

He expecteth, He expecteth! Down the stream of time
Still the words come softly ringing like a chime.
Ofttimes faint, now waxing louder, as the hour draws near
When the King in all His glory shall appear.

He is waiting with long patience for His crowning day,
For that Kingdom which shall never pass away,
And till every tribe and nation bow before His throne,
He expecteth loyal service from His own.

He expecteth- but He heareth still the bitter cry
From earth's millions, "Come and help us for we die."
He expecteth- doth He see us busy here and there,
Heedless of those pleading accents of despair?

Shall we-dare we disappoint Him? Brethren let us rise!
He who died for us is watching from the skies;
Watching till His royal banner floateth far and wide,
Till He seeth of His travail satisfied!

On Thursday, I had a day off work to celebrate with my Gran her 92nd birthday. We had a lovely drive round Arnside, Sandside, Milnthorpe and Beetham, and I had to stop and take pictures of these deer (because I love seeing deer!). (we also had some delicious fish and chips from the Arnside chippy!:) It was a really lovely (and the ice cream from Beetham Nurseries was pretty good too!:)

Chag Purim Sameach

So, today and tomorrow is the Jewish Feast of Purim, which Mordecai instituted as a perpetual feast for the Jews and their allies! This is found in the Book of Esther (funnily enough!), if you want to know more about it, read it there! Since I heard about this, I have loved the traditions surrounding it, i.e. drowning out Haman's name, and sending "Purim goodies" to people. Yesterday, I made some "Hamantashen" (pictured above) (otherwise known as "Haman's ears!" or "Oznei Haman") + they're really yummy!:)
Happy Purim, people!
